Scripture for today

The Message Matthew 4:1-4 Next Jesus was taken into the wild by the Spirit for the Test. The Devil was ready to give it. Jesus prepared for the Test by fasting forty days and forty nights. That left him, of course, in a state of extreme hunger, which the Devil took advantage of in the first test: "Since you are God's Son, speak the word that will turn these stones into loaves of bread." Jesus answered by quoting Deuteronomy: "It takes more than bread to stay alive. It takes a steady stream of words from God's mouth."

Temptations always come for us in our place of need. Temptations are very calculative I must say. It always come for you at the point where we have a need that need to be met urgently. When I studied this Scripture about Jesus being hungry and I am able to relate it to so many situations around me. Most times we get hungry in different situations we find ourselves. We have a lot of needs that seem to be very urgent. This needs are very genuine and legitimate. For example, when you don't have a need for food anyone who brings food to you on a very uncomfortable condition might just be doing you a great Favour. 

Your Temptations are always in line with your needs. If I have a need for a relationship I would be tempted easily from that point of my need. If I have need for a car ride, I can easily be tempted from that need. This post is to tell us as believers that we need to turn down some offers. Not all offers are really for us. We are not to pick up every challenge to see if we can do handle situations by ourselves. You're not your own provider, God is. You are not your supplier, God is. You have all you need to overcome Temptations in the word of God. His word has all the power in the world to withstand any temptation that comes your way. 

Prayer: Father, help me withstand any temptation that comes my way.

Scripture for Today

Ephesians 5:25-27 AMP

Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her, So that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the Word, That He might present the church to Himself in glorious splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such things [that she might be holy and faultless].

I have read a lot about being a Proverbs 31 woman and a lot of men desire that kind of woman. The Proverbs 31 woman is the most desirable woman most people want especially believers but I have come to realize that a lot of women prepare themselves diligently just to fall for any man who comes their way. The scripture above tells us the kind of husband's men should be to their wives. So men since you search for the Proverbs 31 woman we will search for the Ephesians 5 man.

The Ephesians 5 man is a man who has come to the understanding that marriage is a covenant commitment just like the commitment Jesus has with the church. Jesus gave himself up for the church so the Ephesians 5 man should be willing to give up himself for his wife. He shouldn't put himself first but should put her first. This kind of man is not self seeking or glorifying, he understands the needs of his wife just like Christ understands our needs.

This kind of man is ready to do whatever it takes to make sure his woman is fine and well secured. Let's not confuse this with being possessive they certainly aren't the same. So ladies, let's redirect our search for the Ephesians 5 kind of man. Men work towards being the Ephesians 5 kind of man.

Proverbs: 14. 10. The heart knoweth his own bitterness; and a stranger doth not intermeddle with his joy. - KJV 

You know what you are bitter about, you know those things you hold on so tight to and have decided not to let go. Bitterness usually springs up from unforgiveness of people's wrongs. You know, so many times I have had reasons to be bitter and harbour unforgiveness against people. I never really knew I could be unforgiving until I had people lie against me while knowing the truth. You know it was tough for me, when I see them I just get angry. I loose my peace and begin to think about their hurt and hatred towards me, literally my heart beat quickens and I begin sweat on my palm. That was unhealthy, "I thought I had forgiven, Lord!!!" I would cry out but I still knew I really wish bad things could happen to them to make them pay for all the wrongs they have done. I don't know if the same thing has happened to you before. Unforgiveness takes a  lot from us, forgiving people is divine that's why our flesh can't do it. 

I must confess I had to pray for God to help me forgive these people, and so many times I called out their names and proclaimed "I forgive you". Have you ever wondered why it is tough to forgive? Being free from unforgiveness gives you faith in God. You know great power comes from God above, which streams from love. And unforgiveness is not a product of love. Romans 12:19 says Vengeance is the Lord's. When people hurt us which is really expected we get over it by remembering that all that they do to you is unto God. You know we could look at it this way, God is faithful to keep us, what ever happens to us he is aware. You're the Apple of God's eyes anyone who hurts you or does well to you is doing it unto God. So do yourself a favor, Forgive. Let go of the pain, the hurt, the betrayal or even the bad relationship. You gave someone your heart and they scattered you, forgive them and move on dear, God is faithful he will handle it. 

Prayer: Father, I pray for the grace to forgive with the whole of my heart.

Scripture for today

Genesis 1:1-2

First this: God created the Heavens and Earth—all you see, all you don't see. Earth was a soup of nothingness, a bottomless emptiness, an inky blackness. God's Spirit brooded like a bird above the watery abyss.

Imagine a world without God in it,  how will it be.  It's like imagining a life without breath in it.  It's not even possible.  The earth was without shape and without form a total waste until he said "Let there be light" Genesis 1:3. God is the Lord of all creation and everything begins and end with him.  Have you tried living a life based on your feelings and just how you want? Imagine a life without the God factor in it?

All of this earth and the elements in it was created by God and by the works of his hands. He said all things he created was good and beautiful. Our Life is incomplete with the total reverence and submission to God.  If we were to have just anything we want or feel we wanted in life how miserable will we be.  There is a God who always is in charge, in control of our affairs. He knows the beginning from the end, he knows you better than you could ever imagine. 

The only thing he requires from us is to give him our hearts, he just requires us to give him our all,  our everything included. Our lives will be a mess and our destinies unfulfilled without the God factor in it.  Give him your all he is in charge.. He loves you too much to let you fail. Today he is inviting you to know him better and to have his ever lasting love in your heart forever. 

Prayer: Father, I come to you, I acknowledge your supremacy and I invite you into my life to be my Lord and everything.

Scripture for Today

Philippians 1:9 And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, (ESV)

Yesterday we talked about how our love is everything and today we are talking about our love abounding more and more according to knowledge. The more we know God, the deeper we love him, right? Sometimes it just not that for so many believers. At a point in our walk of faith some of us begin to get so used to God or his ways that we begin to decrease in our knowledge of him. Our knowledge of God and how much we love him affects the way we treat other people and show love.

Our depth of knowledge of God and his ways ultimately affects the way we do things and love our neighbours or even forgive those that hurt us. God is love therefore to love truly we must be willing to understand what his will is concerning loving others. God's love those not discriminate or even envy neither does it rejoice in evil. Gods love is abounding in grace and mercy. 

God has called us to a life of love, towards people who certainly don't deserve love. He has called us to get deeper in our love for him,therefore we grow in our love for others. Love is the greatest gift to us therefore we should love just as God does.

Prayer: Father, help me grow in my love for you.

Proverbs 31:14- She is like a merchant ship loaded with food stuffs; she brings her household’s food from a far country.


By a woman’s nature she is creative and also multitasking, a woman has the ability to have her hands full and still perform effectively in all. This wonderful creation called "WOMAN" is a wonder to behold. Have you ever thought about what makes a women irresitible; such a woman that does not sit on her back and watch things to happen as life just passes by. This woman makes the most of her life, she is not just waiting for people to come save her but she is ready to save others. This kind of woman is full of loads of marketable commodities, she is consistently on the move, she sort for commodities in faraway lands and bring them back home. Hello, this woman makes things happen! YOUR MAN MUST NOT PROVIDE EVERYTHING.

A truly good woman is a wife before she is married. You need to inbred this, praying or fasting cannot make you one.

She comforts, encourages, and does him only good as long as there is life within her. Pro. 31:12

One of the secrets of this woman is that she is a comforter. Sometimes giving comfort to people might sound like a huge task and infact it is most especially when you have your own issues or problems to face. This kind of woman makes sure that she give people around her comfort, she is consistently a comforter. To become an irresistible woman make it a point of duty to make people around you comfortable, this does not necessarily mean having to give them all they need. Make it a point of duty that your words always have a positive impact upon the lives of your loved ones and friends

We women are talkers, i mean every woman wants to be heard!!! That's what makes us who we are, if you are a man reading this post always listen to your woman!!!

We love to be heard, we want people to listen to us always. Men you need to accept this difference. When faced with problems, Men feel better by solving problems while women feel better by talking about problems.

For instance:
Man comes home, wants to watch news and relax. He is stressed out and just wants to forget this unsolved problems.
Woman wants to relax from her stressful day, she wants to find relief by talking about her problems.
Man thinks Woman talks too much, Woman feels Man is ignoring her. Wahala starts!!

When men and women are able to respect their differences then love has a chance to blossom Women are talkers, kindly listen. We women sometimes want to share our feelings about our day and want you to listen that's all!!. Now this wonderful quality can be an evil one when it is not properly used. You need to make it a point of duty that you speak positive words into peoples lives most especially your _man_. Men are thinkers and whether you like it or not your man think about words that proceeds out of your mouth. Even when a man has made a huge mistake he will still want to be encouraged. Most of us are living with the consequences of our words, many of us have said things that bruised our partners and has changed the tenor of our relationships. A woman needs to understand the effect of her words on the self-esteem of her man. The Bible teaches us that the power of life and death is in the tongue


_James 3:5-6 Even so the tongue is a little member, and it can boast of great things. See how much wood or how great a forest a tiny spark can set ablaze!
And the tongue is a fire. [The tongue is a] world of wickedness set among our members, contaminating and depraving the whole body and setting on fire the wheel of birth (the cycle of man's nature), being itself ignited by hell._

Your words can exalt or demolish him. A man will fly away if possible from contention but draw strength from the woman who encourages and affirms him. Your words shapes your life, words are so powerful they can be an agents of mass destruction. To be irresistible you need to watch your words sister , talk less most especially when you are angry!! Say only important things and you don't need to talk every time.

An irresistible woman keeps on doing good. We live in a wicked world and some people are just ungrateful, no matter how much good you do for them they will never change.. That should not change who you are!!! Keep doing good, it is difficult to do good to those who have hurt you but keep on doing good. You could be filled with vengeance and hatred because of the events of the past, people might have trampled on your right, yours could have been rape, or yours could be painful loss.. Allow your past to remain in the past. Broken women find it extremely difficult to maintain healthy relationships. They are always looking for men who will carry their pain for them. The only man attracted to carrying other peoples pain is JESUS!!!.No man wants problems in his life, every man wants a problem solver.

dont be filled with the darkness of yesterday, and refuse to see the light of today

Everyday is a new opportunity, to start afresh. People around you should not pay for the evil others have done. Don't treat the man in your life like he is the criminal or the rapist. Let the good in you not be conditional, it should not be based on the way you are treated. An irresistible woman forgives, she lets go, she allows JESUS to fix her..be forgiving and see how your life turns out, keep doing good and keep being you.

This post is all about sharing tips of how to become an irresistible woman from the biblical point of view.
Some of us might be wondering what it takes to be irresistible as a young Christian lady.

Will share a story with us. Its the story of a king called Lemuel in the Bible, (Proverbs 31:1) his mother advised him on how to become a better king to his people. One strong advice his mother gave him was how to recognize  and find a virtuous woman. As a king it was important he married a woman who will help him in ruling his people well.
The story of this virtuous woman has been with us for a long while now. It has been the topic in so many seminars, several books have been written about this  same woman. She is the kind of woman that every man desires. This qualities has made her irresistible, generations to come will still be talking about her. She is a woman we all want to be like even me my self i pray to God to make me just like her, but i discovered that her qualities will not fall like ripe cherries upon you. They are to be studied and applied into our daily lives.
Back to the main matter, lets find out her secrets.

               Secret 1
Proverbs 31:11 (Amp) The heart of her husband trusts in her confidently and relies on and believes in her securely, so that he has no lack of [honest] gain or need of [dishonest] spoil.

Trust: This woman does not have trust issues. People can trust her because she is true to her words. Hmmmm, trust!!! This is a word that is fast fading even in our Christian society. We as young women need to understand that trust is the one thing that when it is missing in our lives we will have a hard time in so many areas.
Can your words be trusted? When you say yes does it really mean yes. When you say something can you make sure that you remain so true to your words. If your not sure that you will keep to your words kindly do not make any promise you cannot keep.
  A typical example is when you have an appointment with someone.The person will be at the place of meeting and you have not even started dressing up for the appointment. When the person calls you will  be like am on my way..Haba!!! Its not cool at all, and for almost 2 hours you are still on your way. I know some people can relate to this most especially some of my friends llllooolllzzzz. I dread it when they say they are on their way because my waiting has just begun.

No matter how little the issue of saying the truth at all times or in difficult situations is, it is a strong foundation for trust. Gradually people will begin to trust you even in worst situatuons. To be an irresistible woman in this generation, people need to trust you most especially your man. Don't be unstable, make a decision to be firm in all that you are doing.

Can you be trusted with money?. This one is a big issue because money can buy you a lot of nice stuff winks. When people entrust you with their money will you spend it like it is totally yours. Honestly, money issues is a great cause for conflicts in our society today, most especially in marriage. So many of us women cannot even save up money to  make any investment, ok its your money you can spend it. What about other people's money?
  When you are given money to cook soup will you cook the soup with the money or you use half to cook soup and the remaining half to buy clothes. A lot of women are guilty of this. Some men can never make the mistake to even tell their woman the amount in their account because Oh boy!! Your money will be spent on weaves. There are some of my friends i can entrust with money no matter how much because i know they will provide it when it is needed.

Learn how to spend only your own money. Use it for what you have been asked to use it for because over time you will be trusted with so much more.

Trust is developed in relationships, your dependability will make your man so sure and confident in you. Learn to work on yourself if you have realised that people have doubts about you. Learn to speak the truth at all times. If your not good at keeping your mans money or at spending appropriately kindly seek for help through prayers and practical steps you will surely overcome.
