Ephesians 5:25-27 AMP

Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her, So that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the Word, That He might present the church to Himself in glorious splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such things [that she might be holy and faultless].

I have read a lot about being a Proverbs 31 woman and a lot of men desire that kind of woman. The Proverbs 31 woman is the most desirable woman most people want especially believers but I have come to realize that a lot of women prepare themselves diligently just to fall for any man who comes their way. The scripture above tells us the kind of husband's men should be to their wives. So men since you search for the Proverbs 31 woman we will search for the Ephesians 5 man.

The Ephesians 5 man is a man who has come to the understanding that marriage is a covenant commitment just like the commitment Jesus has with the church. Jesus gave himself up for the church so the Ephesians 5 man should be willing to give up himself for his wife. He shouldn't put himself first but should put her first. This kind of man is not self seeking or glorifying, he understands the needs of his wife just like Christ understands our needs.

This kind of man is ready to do whatever it takes to make sure his woman is fine and well secured. Let's not confuse this with being possessive they certainly aren't the same. So ladies, let's redirect our search for the Ephesians 5 kind of man. Men work towards being the Ephesians 5 kind of man.
