Scripture for today

The Message 1 Samuel 2:18-20 In the midst of all this, Samuel, a boy dressed in a priestly linen tunic, served God. Additionally, every year his mother would make him a little robe cut to his size and bring it to him when she and her husband came for the annual sacrifice. Eli would bless Elkanah and his wife, saying, "God give you children to replace this child you have dedicated to God." Then they would go home.

Many of us pray the Hannah kind of prayer but never make the Hannah kind of sacrifice. This Scripture ministered personal to me, after asking God for something and believing him for sometimes, I  then made a covenant to give him back that same thing he just blessed me with. The normal me will struggle with this. I can imagine believing God for a child and having to give him right back to God. I see him only once in a year. I believe I would be worried sick and call In every day to check if he has had breakfast, lunch and dinner. Truth is, it takes a heart totally sold out to Jesus that will be willing to give what they only have and never bother how it is spent or used..  I hear some Christians talk about their tithe and how their pastors use them for personal reasons and I have this to say to you, YOU  HAVEN'T DISCOVERED THE REAL KEY TO ABUNDANCE!!! Reading further you will see that Hannah had many more children. She gave that one that is the Lord's back to him and reaped abundance. 

Give God what belongs to him, and enjoy his best. 

Prayer: Father, thanks for showing me the key of abundance.
