Scripture for today

John 14:6 AMPC

Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.

Most of us have read this story as kids but I would love to write it again so as get an illustration across. 

A rabbit and a turtle set out on a race. The rabbit, which in this illustration is symbolic of a lie, seems to be gaining in the race. He seems to be a sure winner. It seems the Truth represented by the turtle will never get to the finish line. The lie is bouncing everywhere with everyone's eyes on it. 

The rabbit became over confident and began to take a nap, he thinks he has made it. While he was resting, the turtle crosses the finish line and wins. Friends, the lie will certainly not last. Have they said you will fail? Every indication it looks like you would fail but if you can hang on to God's Word then the Truth will finally be revealed. 

Have people ever lied against you, to everyone it seems to be very truthful and everyone seems to believe that very lie. One thing I want you to really hold on to is that the truth will be out someday. You might have been in that situation for so long trying every means possible but nothing seems to work. Jesus is the truth he is unchanged, unmoved and unsurpassed even by a clear lie. Sometimes it seems like Jesus wouldn't come through for you, he will certainly come through no matter how long it takes. The truth is God's Word, hold on to it. 

Prayer: Father, I believe your truth.
