EPISODE 6

WEEKS ROLLED BY...
Tony is still unreachable. She couldn't go to his office to ask questions and perhaps, wash her dirty linen outside and Tim had promised to help find out his transfer location but no information yet and Tim hadn't spoken to him since the time he left. She tried to focus on her health issue, job ,masters program and the marriage counselling sessions she was attending because suddenly, the house felt so empty.
Oneday, she got back with Onome from one of her checkups; they met the front door opened.
"You forgot to lock up?" Onome inquired.
"No! How can I? Slyvia replied.
They made their way inside, still surprised. They meet Tony dragging a small box towards the door.
"Hey! Tony!..." Onome called out in surprise.
Slyvia stood there, too surprised to move.
"Hey! Onome! I just came to pick up a few things; sorry for the bother." Tony said, ignoring Slyvia's presence and headed for the door. He stopped and turned when he felt Slyvia's hand touch his; she falls on her knees.
"Am sorry! Tony, really sorry!" Slyvia said with tears in her eyes.
"Slyvia, please don't do this!" Tony said as he raised her up.
"I tried calling; am truely sorry! I love you Tony, very much. I messed up, I behaved badly. I know I have issues and am working on it, I...." Slyvia went on, pleading.
"Slyvia! I have nothing against you. Tony said, face plain.
"Really? you've forgiven me, right? So, we can go back to how we started? Stay at home tonight. I have missed you so much. Em...., You can leave tomorrow". Slyvia said, holding his hand.
"Slyvia! What I mean is that I have moved on, I believe you should have too." Tony replied.
"Tony.... But we are married". Slyvia managed to say.
Tony smiles awkwardly; "it's not worth it. We are better off without each other. We will only hurt each other. Am glad you are doing alright though.
"Tony...,am not alright....." Slyvia said, voice shaking.
"Tony please; she is truely sorry. She knows better now". Onome intervened.
"I have to go. Whatever we shared doesn't matter anymore; I just want to start over. Bye".
He loosens her grip and leaves the house. Slyvia falls on the floor in tears, while Onome comforts her.
 Slyvia laments in anguish "He is gone! I have lost him. He won't forgive me..."

Days later, Slyvia is in her room; sitting on the floor in tears "Oh Lord! help me! Help Tony forgive me at least!" She holds her chest. "Bring him back to me; I know you can walk through my past and make things right; heal and restore my marriage; let Tony love me again; don't let him give in to another woman"
Her phone beeps; Its a message; she looks at it reluctantly; it was a strange number:- I DON'T KNOW IF I HAVE THE STRENGTH TO GO BACK TO WHAT WE USED TO SHARE BUT I KNOW MY LOVE FOR YOU OUTWEIGHS ANY HURT I MIGHT FEEL. I WANT TO START ALL OVER BUT NOT WITHOUT YOU BY MY SIDE. AM SORRY IF IT SEEMED LIKE I GAVE UP ON US. BUT I AM WILLING TO STAY AND FIGHT FOR OUR LOVE TILL THE END, IF YOU WILL JOIN ME? I LOVE YOU. FROM YOUR HUSBAND.
"Tony!" Slyvia called out in joy as her tears flowed quickly. She tries to compose a reply to him. The door bell rings. She tried to ignore it but it didn't stop. She quickly went to open the door. Tony was standing out there.
"Tony!! Yes! Yes! Yes!" She said as she flings herself into his arms in tears as he wraps her up tightly.
"You left your job to come home and see me?" Slyvia finally managed to say after a while, still hugging him.
Tony laughed "I didn't accept the transfer! You didn't want it so I didn't take it. I just asked for a leave from work. Am all yours."
"Oh Tony!" Slyvia exclaimed again.
