Scripture for today

Hosea 4:6 ASV

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I also will forget thy children.

One of Satan's greatest weapon for war against us believers is IGNORANCE. The lack of knowledge is one thing that can make us fall for anything and stand up for anything. Satan is a great deceiver, he is a very intentional deceitful liar, he makes people believe things which are not totally true to what God has said about them. When people do not know better they believe his lies and live a miserable life. If you look deeply into your life you will realize that Satan has told you some things that made you fear, doubt and troubled. He doesn't want us to gain access to knowledge that's why he will attempt to block every opportunity you have to gain knowledge. 

I remember when I used to struggle with some sexual sins I believed Satan's lie that every believer is also going through the same thing. When I studied God's word on the matter I realized he has given me the grace to conquer any and every temptation. My outlook towards those sins changed, I realized it wasn't by my power but it was by God's spirit who works within me. Things are different now. 

Fellow singles, let's take our time and effort to gain knowledge especially through God's word. God's word is not a sleeping pill that once you open it you get sleepy. God's word is powerful to liberate you from the traps and destructions of the devil. Let's be open to learning at all times. Today, I make a decision to be a life long learner. People who have knowledge are not bound, they are free!!! 

Prayer: Father, help me never be tired of learning. Open my eyes to the deceitful schemes of the devil.
