Scripture for today

Mark 11:26 AMPC

But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your failings and shortcomings.

I slept last night with this question, why do we seem to blow up each other's imperfections and make them look enormous enough to get in the way of our relationships? We all have our issues, if we were perfect their would have been no need for Jesus to come and die for us. The question is, why do we hurt each other, first with our words then with our actions and their is certainly nothing clear that came to mind except that living here on earth is a journey of love, and forgiveness. 

Forgiveness is key here on earth, I really wish forgiveness could be very easy for us to exercise. I find my self falling short in this area sometimes that I have to rebuke myself and the hold of UNFORGIVENESS in my life. One key thing is in life, people will hurt you, you will also hurt others so we all need to give each other a little dose of forgiveness. Telling ourselves the Truth in love is also key. It is not necessarily about telling each other the Truth but that we tell it in love. God is still dealing with me on all these issues. The love walk and the forgiveness deal haven't come easy but God has used various instruments to teach me these things. Instruments like my friends, my family, my colleagues and so much more. We need the attitude of learning the vital lessons and moving on in life so much that if we have have a grasp of it, life gets easier. I have been taught forgiveness in so many ways, sometimes I fail and sometimes I pass. Life is a continuous journey.

Prayer: Father, help me forgive others and love them totally.
