Scripture for today

Colossians 1:6

This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace. (NIV)

If there was anyone the word of God changed it's me. I grew up in a family where the word of God was shared every morning. I was born into the fold of the children of God. Church was a lifestyle and infact it has remained that way till today. I thought I was saved, I could teach Bible study at a young age, I could go for evangelism and even fast. I just knew somewhere within me that a lot still needed to be done. 

I tried my very best to live a holy life but it was a total struggle. I knew I had not had that encounter of the power of Grace that would change me totally and completely. The weight of my secret sins were so huge on me, I knew I needed to have a one on one encounter with the Lord. 

The day I had the encounter I was on my own praying. All of a sudden I started weeping profusely none stop for 5 hours. After that day I felt so light, I have had unending joy, I have had unending peace. The grace of the Lord upon my life has produced fruits. I transformed from a religious person to a servant operating with grace. 

The Gospel of the  Lord Jesus is a Gospel of grace and peace to all men. It has been transforming lives, it has changed mine and it will change yours only if you would come to him. His mercy and grace is abundant, its unfailing, its transforming. It has changed me from a religious person to a servant operating with grace. 

Accept the good news today!!
