Scripture for Today

John 3 v 26-27 And they came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, he who was with you across the Jordan, to whom you bore witness—look, he is baptizing, and all are going to him.” 27 John answered, “A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven. (ESV)

Our gifts here on earth are unique to each and everyone of us. No two individuals has got the same uniqueness of gifts to its thinnest detail. Your gift is your assignment. 

Singles, do not get caught up in thoughts of comparism of your assignments as the disciples of John the Beloved did. Sometimes you compare your assignment with that of another person. Don't neglect the great call of God upon your life because it's a dangerous thing to do. Live life as God has purposed it for you and enjoy a life of abundance.

As God ministered to your spirit what He needs you to do then; get to work. 

I remember a line in a movie which says "with great power comes great responsibility"  I am tempted to also add find the best way to be responsible to the giver of your gift". I encourage you  today to set sail and not worry about who does what and who was doing what; remember your source and trust Him enough to help you fulfil His purpose for your life all through your days. 

Prayer: Father, may I never neglect your great assignment upon my life.
