PUSHING BLAMES
9:17 am
LOVE LETTERS|DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR SINGLES|DAY 257
Scripture for today
1 Samuel 15:24 AMPC
And
Saul said to Samuel, I have sinned; for I have transgressed the
commandment of the Lord and your words, because I feared the people and
obeyed their voice.
Have
you ever done something that is totally wrong and you just did it to
please others? Have you ever made a decision which you know is wrong but
you did it anyway just to make the other person feel good? Have you
ever been wrong about something but you refused to take the blame
because it wasn't totally your fault? You know what friends, people who
are always willing to blame others haven't started living yet. There is
something about standing up to take responsibility for your actions and
wrong doings. You know, what differentiated Saul from David is the fact
that when David committed a sin he was willing to take responsibility
for his actions and was willing to make changes.
We
all make mistakes friends but what is most important is that we
shouldn't always pass the blame. We shouldn't always point at all the
millions of people and reasons in the world and blame them. We need to
learn the act of being responsible both in good and bad times. Saul was a
blame pusher and a people pleaser. We find ourselves in such positions
when we feel like our strength come from people. The moment we feel that
God is our strength and our sustainer that moment is when things begin
to change for us.
Friends,
let's learn from our mistakes and move on. Let's stop blaming people
for the the wrong things they did and didn't do. Let's look up to God to
transform our future.
Prayer: Father, help me look up to you alone.
