Scripture for today

Colossians 1:18 AMPC

He also is the Head of [His] body, the church; seeing He is the Beginning, the Firstborn from among the dead, so that He alone in everything and in every respect might occupy the chief place [stand first and be preeminent].

Jesus is the head of the church he is to be praised and exalted above all things. I see a great number of believers pursuing miracles signs and wonders. Miracles, signs and wonders are not here just to  take over our Christian walk but it seems to be taking over our relationship with God also. I see a lot of Christian becoming miracle worshippers instead of worshippers in truth and the Spirit. In my country I see the trend,  any church where miracles happened last Sunday has a possibility of having  twice of the population  next Sunday. I see Christians hop from church to church seeking for the latest prophetic ministry and calling. 

I also see a great number pursuing the anointing at every conference but never developing the quality it takes to maintain the anointing. We are called to know God for ourselves not just allow ourselves to be thrown around with every latest wind of doctrine. Jesus is everything we need when we build up our relationship and seek only him that is the greatest thing that can happen to us. So I will end with this note "KNOW GOD FOR YOURSELF"
