365 DAYS, 365 CHANCES

Scripture for today

Isaiah 43 v 18-19 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. [19] Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Each day has in store newer challenges and victories alike. I used to have a friend who would drool in the memory of how she was the prettiest girl in her secondary school when we were in the university. As vain at that sounds, she always tried to prove a point at all times in a university with thousands of  pretty maidens. She lived on her memory because it gave her a sense of belonging and importance that she was someone highly sought after in her past. She acted like she was still in her past and couldn't see the bigger picture.

You see your past victories should be left in the past; it would always restrict you from envisioning the bigger glory God has ahead of you. Former things includes challenges from your past, all they simply do is keep you short-sighted. You need to look ahead for the greater things that God has in stock for you. My friend told me yesterday "Gabby it only gets better". Everyday is better, it's new, it's fresh live in the present. Live in the now and embrace God's blessings for you.

Remember the saying "if you can't see it, you can't handle it". I encourage you to let go of all past events because new things are springing up for you today.

Prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, help me to stop dwelling on the former things today and embrace the things ahead.

Were you blessed? Bless someone by sharing this.
