Scripture for today

2 Timothy 2:22 AMPC

Shun youthful lusts and flee from them, and aim at and pursue righteousness (all that is virtuous and good, right living, conformity to the will of God in thought, word, and deed); [and aim at and pursue] faith, love, [and] peace (harmony and concord with others) in fellowship with all [Christians], who call upon the Lord out of a pure heart.

Last year when we had a set apart at the end of the year. God gave us a watch word for light bearers singles group. Well, we didn't start at the beginning of the year, each time we tried to organize a hang out different things would come up. So in October we taught about starting it up as a whatsapp group. So we started with only 15 people on the group. When we had the meet in which I also celebrated my birthday we had 27 singles gathered. It was a great moment and a lot of us still have sweet memories of that day. Our theme for the month on the group happened to be PURE TILL MARRIAGE.  We never knew the world's purity day was taking place in the month of November. We prayed about a theme for November and we were reminded of our vision for the year. We have had great times on the group each study. God is really working within us and in us to present us as single men and women who stand for purity. 

From our discussions we have uncovered that purity is more than the word VIRGINITY. Purity is a life style. It is a heart condition. It is beyond the physical sex but it is a spiritual exercise. TODAY, I have one word for us as singles IT IS POSSIBLE TO DELAY SEX TILL YOU ARE MARRIED. It is a clear lie of the devil to make you feel it isn't possible. You have all the grace you need to live  a  life of holiness and righteousness. Romans 6:14. Sin has no dominion over us, God's grace is enough. How can we believe God's power can make us healed but that same power isn't powerful enough to make us live pure till marriage. Let's embrace the grace which God has given us. 

I am a living testimony to the fact that sexual purity is possible only if we embrace God's given grace. 

Prayer: Father, help me live a life of sexual purity.
