Scripture for today
Ruth 1:16-17 (Msg)
But Ruth said, "Don't force me to leave you; don't make me go home. Where you go, I go; and where you live, I'll live. Your people are my people, your God is my god; where you die, I'll die, and that's where I'll be buried, so help me God—not even death itself is going to come between us!"
Ruth was a young bride who never bargained for all the dark moments life threw at her. She was now a widow meanwhile a few week or years ago she was married. Life changed for her and also her seasons have shifted. My country Nigeria is going into a new season. Today the country is 56 years after its independence from her colonial masters and we have experiencing a shift in season which we either learn from or blame our past for it.
Life changes in ways we don't expect it to, things go in ways we wonder if there is truly a God watching out for us. You could move from
Married-divorce
Employed-unemployed
Rich-poor
Healthy-Sick
Or the reverse to be your case but one thing is sure with ever season comes a new responsibility, a new set of skills to be acquired and greater Heights to reach. You might feel alone in this season but I want to assure you that God is in control of it all.
One lesson to learn from Ruth is the fact that she didn't just sit back and mourned for all her loss but she decided to move forward in a new dimension. Friends, let's move forward, don't blame it on everything that has gone wrong in the past. Move ahead, move towards God not away from God allow him control the affairs of your life. Learn the lessons he is teaching you and enjoy his grace.
Prayer: Father, I ask for your grace to stay still and enjoy your abundance in this new season of my life.
