Scripture for today

2 Timothy 1:7 For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self- control. (ESV)

Have you had fear attacks? Fear attacks are not from God. God has not given us a spirit of fear but of love and self-control, some other versions say a calm spirit, a well balanced mind. As disciples of Jesus fear will never stop coming against us. Situations will arise which will make us afraid and want to chicken out of situations. 

God has told us a lot of wonderful things in his word and all we need to do is to do it even if its out of fear or not. We are not failures because we shake, or even tremble. We shouldn't allow that trembling stop us from acting out in faith. We shouldn't allow that fear to overcome our faith in the Lord. 

For us to overcome fear we need to be obedient to the word which God has spoken unto us. When fear comes we overcome fear the the spoken word of faith. We need to fight the good fight of faith. We shouldn't allow the devil take what is rightfully ours.

Don't be a coward don't allow fear overcome your decision to do the right thing. Fear shouldn't rule over your decisions, let love do that. Love always overcomes fear. 

Prayer: Father, I come against every power of fear in my life. I receive faith in those situations.
