Scripture for today

1 Timothy 2:8-10 (Msg) Since prayer is at the bottom of all this, what I want mostly is for men to pray—not shaking angry fists at enemies but raising holy hands to God. And I want women to get in there with the men in humility before God, not primping before a mirror or chasing the latest fashions but doing something beautiful for God and becoming beautiful doing it.

Prayer is the world's most powerful tool. The question now remains, why do always find it extremely tough to pray? As a believer, I have known that one of my greatest struggle is prayer. When I get busy one aspect that suffers most is my prayer, when I get overwhelmed with life issues one aspect that drops quickly is prayer. Prayer is a very powerful tool that makes us stand firmly with God. One of the cause of PRAYERlessness is sin. When Adam fell in the garden of Eden the first thing he ran away from was his fellowship with God. He began to hide in the bush because he knew he had done wrong. I sometimes would ask, what if Adam didn't run away and hide himself from the fellowship with the Holy Father? Maybe things would have been better.

Sin is a great tool in the hand of the enemy. He uses it to separate us from the love of our father. That's why we struggle a lot with the flesh because the flesh know prayer subdues him he makes it tough for us to pray. Another tool the devil uses to make us prayerless is making us too busy and tired to do so. Lately I have been under the attack of busyness. when he opened my eyes to this during my quiet time this morning I had to repent of my sin.May God open our eyes to see the important benefits of prayer and that will make us never to stop praying.
