2 Kings 17:15 ASV

And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified unto them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the nations that were round about them, concerning whom Jehovah had charged them that they should not do like them.

One of the greatest tool the enemy uses against Christians is money. Money which is certainly vanity is one tool the devil uses to make us feel we God is not faithful. There are times when I began to feel so sad when I don't have money. I feel like God isn't faithful enough or he isn't a good provider because I didn't have enough cash at hand. Sometimes I give very little money to God as offering meanwhile I could spend more than that on a new dress. You know why I would give little to God? Because I believe he isn't capable enough to provide. But we all know God is.

Luke 11:41 (ASV) But give for alms those things which are within; and behold, all things are clean unto you. We are to give to poor and needy amongst us. It is the worship of money that makes us feel we are don't have enough to give. God is our provider and sustainer he is more than enough for us all we need to do is trust him with everything.

Prayer: Father, help me overcome my love for money and material things.
