Scripture for today

Mark 12:24-25 AMPC

Jesus said to them, Is not this where you wander out of the way and go wrong, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God? For when they arise from among the dead, [men] do not marry nor are [women] given in marriage, but are like the angels in heaven.

Is there marriage in heaven? It's a good question to ask in this time and season. I see the struggle to get married. I see so many lies and schemes that people pass through, that's why I ask that question. Is there marriage in heaven? Am not the first to ask this question, the saducces asked that first. If God never gave you your marriage in the time you wanted, will you still worship him? I really wish as singles we look away just a little from the getting married tag and look up to getting to heaven.  When making heaven is your focus a lot of things fall into place. 

This brings me to the main message for today, don't let any relationship or marriage take your focus away from heaven. Any relationship that does not move you closer to your end is not worth it.  Your relationship with your eternal father is the most important nurture it, grow it, groom it and watch it lead you to the end. Earthly relationship is good but it most be beneficial to your eternal goal. If God gives you the marriage of your dreams, praise him and even if he doesn't praise him still. Focus more on all he has done already than all the things you want him to do. 

Prayer: Father, help me love you endless despite all the things I don't have.
