Scripture for today

John 10:3 AMPC

The watchman opens the door for this man, and the sheep listen to his voice and heed it; and he calls his own sheep by name and brings (leads) them out.

A sheep hears the voice of the Shepherd and he knows his voice. I remember one day a friend of mine called me with a private line. He was trying to get a message across to me but he didn't want me to know he was the one. No matter how hard hhee tried I was able to know he was the one. It was a funny joke but he kept asking how I was able to know his voice. I told him it was born out of years of friendship and communication. As singles, we struggle to hear God because we have not worked on our relationship with God.

Hearing God is easy when we have grown to understand who he is and how he communicates with you his desires and heart over issues that concerns you. The more you walk with him the better you get at recognizing his voice. The devil might bring a lot of things our way and make us feel its God but if you are used to God's voice the voice of the enemy won't distract you.

Hearing God starts with knowing he is your  father and you grow your relationship by studying his word and spending time at his feet. The nearer we get to him, the nearer he gets to us. (James 4:8)
