Proverbs 24:16 AMPC

For a righteous man falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked are overthrown by calamity. [Job 5:19; Ps. 34:19; 37:24; Mic. 7:8.]

This scripture above is the one of the most quoted and miss used scriptures when believers want to justify their actions of sin. True, the Bible said that the when we fall seven times we will rise again. It's not a good act for a believer to just wait for the temptation to grip them before they realize all the scriptures they should have quoted when the temptation was gripping them.

Within us is the power to overcome any situation that may come our way but most times we are lazy to work hard on fighting the temptation. Sometimes we are the one's that put ourselves into compromising situations and when we feel the devil rising its ugly head we just sit back and watch our peace been stolen. I have come to see that when the temptation comes sometimes we relax and allow the temptation overcome us.

We are born to be warriors, we are to fight the good fight of our faith not relax and fight. Fighting requires you to know the trick your enemy uses and his strategies once you see it coming you will recognize the trick and fight hard. Fighting requires us to put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:12-18). Its not enough for us to be relaxed Christians we are called to take the war to the camp of our enemies.

But always remember this when you fall a million times, Gods mercy is so great.
