DOES GOD FAIL?

Scripture for today

Mark 4:39 AMP
And He arose and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, Hush now! Be still (muzzled)! And the wind ceased (sank to rest as if exhausted by its beating) and there was [immediately] a great calm (a perfect peacefulness).

You know in Mark 4:35, Jesus said "Let us go to the other side of the lake". As a disciple of Jesus after hearing that command the next thing is certainly to obey.  They obeyed and got into the boat.  Let's look at this critically, they obeyed Jesus and got into the boat to go over to the other side being confident that he is able to take them safely to the other side.  What happened instead: Mark 4:37 AMP
And a furious storm of wind [of hurricane proportions] arose, and the waves kept beating into the boat, so that it was already becoming filled.

Have you taken a step in the very direction God instructed you and you got hit in the face with a terrible storm? In the minds of the disciples they will be wondering what wrong they had done.  When God instructs is it not supposed to be easy.  When God told you about your next promotion, is it not supposed to come with so much peace but why the storms?

I have come to realize that storms are our place of testing, they come right between your destination and where you are coming from. Have God lead you on a journey and suddenly it seems you can't find him? Imagine Jesus was sleeping.  What a God?  It's almost like when someone makes promises to you but leave you hanging later.

Jehovah doesn't leave us hanging, he gives us perfect peace in our storm. We need faith to command our storms to seize.  No matter how heavy the storm is.  It's just here to know if you have faith in the words of Jesus.

Prayer: Father, I command every storm in my life to be still.
