Scripture for today

Psalm 94:11 The Lord knows the thoughts of man,  that they are vain (empty and futile-only a breath) (Amp) 

I had all figured out.  I had my life planned out.  Call me crazy but I just hate to be caught unawares. Let me fill you in a little into my plan. I had a journal where I wrote down everything I wanted to have achieved at every stage in my life. At 21 I was supposed to have graduated from the University.  At 22 I was supposed to have started running a ministry  which I am now but it's obviously not in the scale I wrote down.  At 23 was supposed to have enrolled for my masters degree and have married the man of my dreams.  I had a long list friends. I mean I prayed about them and it felt like I had God on my side.  I mean! My side!!  Well don't ask me about them because I just can't explain how the things I planned didn't work out but his plans are everywhere. I mean the things I had planned are kind of not totally the way I want them but better things I thought were not achievable he has given to me.  I don't know if you understand this but most times we can't win God to our side.  He is God and he has it all figured out.  

I know just like me you wanted to leave school with a better grade but you had a bad grade.  I prayed for a first class degree,  I studied very hard I mean very hard but I had a 2/2.  How  majestic can God be!! . Look I am glad today I don't have a first class.  Right now I can't even wish for it.  Do you know why?  I might have depended so much on my degree to give me all the good things and never trust God.  

You know, your plans are never the best for you.  God's plans are. Your knowledge, your skills and your degree can never take you to where God's plan will take you. 

Prayer: Lord, I hand over my life to you. Do what you want with it.
